We really enjoyed our stay - it was central enough for us to mountain bike, hike, fish and visit hot springs, but private enough to keep us from the July 4th crowds. Perfect!

We had a wonderful time in this well-stocked, 2 bedroom cabin. The kitchen has all the cooking items you'll need, the space is clean and well-tended and the porch is an awesome place to enjoy some down time. The cabin had everything we needed and is close to all the great recreation opportunities in the area. We've spent 2 different weekends here and will certainly be back more!

Exceeded expectations

The cabin was well maintained and very clean upon arrival, which was pleasant to see considering the owner is generous enough to not charge a cleaning fee. The cabin is spacious, we had plenty of room with four adults and two toddlers. With two full bedrooms and baths, it is priced very reasonably for the area. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped; several times during meal prep we needed an uncommon utensil or item and after a brief search, boom, there it was. Location is great, just a few minutes to Stanley and quiet despite being near the highway. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The cabin was spacious and very well equipped. My wife in particular was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and completeness of the kitchen. The furnishings were much better than we would normally expect. We enjoyed out stay and would recommend the cabins for anyone spending time in the Stanley valley.

Very comfortable lodgings in one of the greatest vacation areas in idaho

We took advantage of the seasonable late fall to roam the adjacent hills in search of the striking fall colors. We may have been the last vehicles to travel the length of Bear Valley and the Yankee Fork road, we saw no traffic on either and both were lined with brilliant golds and oranges of the turning birch and poplar leaves. The cabin was very well appointed with all the necessary things to make for a pleasant stay. The owner was very gracious in my (limited) contacts with him. Though adjacent to the highway, the traffic noise is not intrusive nor does it seem to affect the local wildlife. While watching the lunar eclipse we saw a fox visit the next cabin when it triggered the motion sensor light the owner had thoughtfully installed to illuminate the front step (if there is no moon out you may have a hard time FINDING the front step without them). The Milky Way shines brightly through the trees, a sight seldom seen by those of us from more urban areas. One key point that differentiates this cabin from most others on VRBO, the owner does his own maintenance and servicing, there is no cleaning fee in addition to the rental costs. This results in a savings of 15-25% over adjacent cabins with absentee owners. This cabin is an excellent value and a comfortable stay that we look forward to using again, soon.

I belong to a lady's hiking group and we have rented annually in Stanley for the last 12 years. Todd's set up is the best value going. Cheaper than a house. Immaculately clean. The kitchen is very well appointed and had everything we needed. Location was great for being close to a lot of trailheads. It's not on the river and has no views, but as we spend most daylight hours away from the place this was of no concern to us. Very highly recommended. We will be back!

We stayed for a month at one of the cabins at Stanley Base Camp in the summer of 2014. It's well-named, for it is centrally located for exploring the area in all directions. It's close to the town of Stanley, Stanley Lake and forest service roads #432 & 633, which offer awesome views. Nearby Valley Creek has some good fly fishing spots. The cabin was super clean and very well-equipped with everything you could need, plus some. It was great to meet Todd, who gave us some advice on things/areas not to miss during our stay. Honey loved sniffing the prairie dog holes. The Sawtooth Mts. are absolutely gorgeous!
